Rustic Baby Shower

At Christmastime this past year we received the exciting news that we have a new little niece/nephew on the way!  I could not wait to celebrate the arrival of this new little bundle at the baby shower!  My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have decided to keep the baby’s gender a surprise until the birthday so we stayed away from traditional blues and pinks.! We decided to go with a rustic, natural theme because it reflects the style and personality of the mommy and daddy to be!  Let’s take a look at the different elements of this Rustic Baby Shower!

Let’s talk about the food table first.  We decorated the table with different woods and metal dishes to give it a natural theme.  We also kept the menu simple with finger foods so that it would be easy for the guests to mingle and socialize without being confined to a formal sit down meal.

By far the most stunning decorative piece on the table was this wilderness charcuterie display.  My brother-in-law found this beautiful tree stump and mounted wooden plates to it.  We used this in the centre of the table and piled it with gourmet meats and cheeses.

I loved these cute little water bottle labels!  They helped to bring the rustic theme to every aspect of the party, and I think that people really appreciate small details.

This cake was one of my favourite decorative elements!  I LOVED the way this turned out!  It’s simple, yet the little woodland animals on the top are just precious!

Luckily, my Mom had this antique baby bassinet that we used to hold the gifts and cards.  It was just the most perfect functional addition to the decor!

Throughout the house there we small tables set up where people could sit down to eat and socialize.  Each table setting had these adorable little centrepieces on them.  These were so simple to make, yet added a beautiful decorative touch.  We kept the “baby” theme subtle by adding these little white diaper pins to the ribbon.

Another one of my favourite elements to this party were the favours!  I think that party favours are an important way to send off your guests, expressing your love and gratitude for them!  For this party I ordered these stunning succulents from a company called, The Little Jar Factory.  Aren’t they gorgeous?  They did such an amazing job with them.

It was so amazing to come together with family and friends to share in the excitement of the coming baby!  We are now only a few weeks away from this little ones arrival and we cannot wait to meet him/her!  I love taking the time to stop and celebrate special moments like this, and create memories that last a lifetime.

XO, Pam
