Have you seen the Tim Hortons billboard ads for their new “Frozen Hot Chocolate”? Oh man! They look soooooo good! They had me at “chocolate”! Since eliminating sugar from my diet I no longer crave sweets the way I once did. BUT, when I drive by those billboards I suddenly feel tempted by the icy, frothy goodness! I was experimenting in the kitchen today and came up with my own version of a frozen chocolate treat! It turned out great!! I can’t wait to make this on a hot afternoon! If you are a chocolate lover like me, and have been missing it since eating clean- you will love this!! 🙂
2 Cups un-sweetend chocolate almond milk
4 Pitted dates
1/2 Tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp Cocoa powder
1/2 Tsp almond butter
2 Cups ice cubes
Pour all ingredients into a high powered blender and mix on high for at least 30 seconds. Serve immediately!
This recipe would be great frozen into popsicles too! I think I’ll try that next!
