Yes, you just read that! CLEAN PSL Recipe! One of the best things about fall and winter is the amazing warm drinks you wrap your hands around to get you going on those chilly mornings. Now that I’ve switched to clean living, I don’t want to even drive by a Starbucks as they tease me with their PSL advertising! So, you can imagine how excited I was to find this recipe! The original recipe is from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkqSo6Ymyr0, but they use artificial sweetener in their recipe. You’ll see in the recipe below that I swapped it out for applesauce/apple butter. Mmmmm I have a warm cup on the table beside me and it is DELISH!!!!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
1 Cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 Tbsp applesauce or apple butter
2 Tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 cup coffee
Mix in your blender for 10 seconds. You can pop it in the microwave to heat it up and drink it hot or pour it over ice to enjoy it as an iced latte. Sprinkle the top with a little cinnamon for an extra special touch.
If it seems to thick, add a little more almond milk and/or coffee
